So some crazy guys are starting up a bar in the valley that has a gaming influence. You may have heard of it.

With this in mind we thought, hey getting drunk and playing fighting games might work out. So we're presenting

1) It's free
2) We're trailing this to see how it goes, if all goes well we'll be running more events at the Bar
3) THQ will be giving away prizes
4) This will be the debut of the newly built 'mobile' LS capture box of doom

Realistic Street Fighter Artwork

Saw this on the OzHadou site.

One of the Melbournites by the name of Just-S has created some pretty cool computer generated 'realistic' art of Street Fighter Characters.

You can see the rest of his work here: http://bosslogic.deviantart.com/gallery/

Justin Wong gave GameTrailers an exclusive couple of video's explaining some of the quirks of the new SSF4 characters from SF3.

2D Fighting Game Introduction tutorials

2D fighting games have been around for years. These videos were posted on OzHadou to help train the noobs in the basics of 2D fighting games.

A 2D fighting game is like Street Fighter where you can only go across or up/down. It's not the graphics, but the plane on where the fighters are. A 3D fighting game would be Tekken/VirtuaFighter/Soul Calibur.

I'd suggest gamers to have a view of them even if you're remotely interested in 2D fighting games. It's geared for Street Fighter 4, but the basics apply to pretty much every 2D game out there.
