AU Travian Server 2 Starts Soon

Hi guy, a bunch of LS'ers are playing a little game called Travian and a new server is starting soon so everybody can get a new beginning. It's a browser based game and completely free unless you wish to buy in game advantages which honestly you don't really need.
The basic premise is that you build a village, increase resource production with a view to creating vast armies within alliances, slowly working toward creating a World Wonder and thus being the victor in the game.
In the game you will expand your empire to include several vilages, and Armies totalling more than 100000 troops. However as this is a browser game none of this happens incredibly quickly, the game itself can take as long as a full year to reach the goal of a completed World Wonder.
The End game being when the World Wonder building takes place where dominant alliances will battle it out for resources, constantly clashing to keep the others down in the quest to complete the Wonder first.
A few of the LS'ers in the current server were wiped out, and seeing as a new world is starting I figured I'd put it to LS and see if anybody is keen to join and we'll make a LS alliance tp protect each other and try grow large enough to contest the end game.
Either way registration starts on the 8th, and the world opens 11th of Sept.

Ages ago there was a web-based starcraft game
I played it while I was at school, and it was awesome. I got up to being a Ghost with a C-13 rifle and could kill lots of stuff
But then I lost the URL and never found it again
Anyone know what im talking about?

Which quadrant do we want to be based in? Everyone should build in the same quadrant. I've been learning that the hard way on AU1 :p

You can rego now, game starts tomorrow. Closer to start date you begin the better your chances or survival.
We'll be settling in the NW, I've just created my account. IGM (In Game Message me once you are allocated a village and we will work toward an alliance to bring us all together.

As a note, it is recommended for most new players to play either gaul or roman (I recommend gaul personally but the game recommends roman). Â If you've registered post your in game name here and taht way I know not to attack you if you're near me.
As an extra note, if you are crazy and decide to try teutons, its sometimes recommended to start a few days after the game begins as teutons are based around raiding and you can't raid anyone in the first couple of days of the server

Eventjam (00:00:0?)
All events occurring at a later time get calculated by an Event System. In case the server is overloaded or the connection between webserver and database is bad an eventjam can result of this.
As soon as more events are received per second as can be calculated per second, events (e.g."Construction finished" or "Troops arrived") will be put into a waiting loop.
The chronological order of troop movements stays the same, even in an eventjam, so troops that would normally arrive somewhere first would still arrive there first.
As player nothing can be done against an eventjam except waiting. Normally these problems get resolved after a few minutes automatically. At the moment 169 events await to get calculated.
There's no rush...

This happens all the time on a lot of the servers, clearly everyone is trying to jump on at the start to get a headstart so the server is clogging, it'll clear in time.

Right now all the early buildings only take a few minutes to build, therefore lots of events across many players, starts, finshes, resources raids plus the new questing stuff will add a bit too.

Anyone have some suggestions on start and what to do, i'm building a granery right now and fleshing out the outer areas to increase resrouce generation.

Almost all buildings seem to require your main building to level 3 to get anything going such as a military force or market place

Best idea is to follow the quests to begin with. Also make sure you have a small army built by the time your few days of protection run out as it's pretty likely someone will attack you.

I'm running through the tutorials on server 1, and it took more than 24 hours before I could get a barracks. Â Be patient.
I have almost 70 hours of protection left. I activated pretty close to 2pm.

Click on the fat guy on the right. It might be different for different races.
You click him every time you do whats required for the quest.
